Meet Dr. Dana

Dana Mockenhaupt, NMD is a board-certified naturopathic medical doctor, herbalist, and the founder of Inspire Natural Medicine and Grounded Botanicals. She blends modern naturopathic care with the wisdom of plant medicine, helping individuals reconnect with their bodies and nature to find lasting wellness. Dr. Dana’s approach is intuitive, holistic, and deeply personal, focusing on physical, emotional, and energetic health.

Dr. Dana earned her Bachelor’s in Herbal Sciences and a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington where she also served as adjunct faculty teaching herbalism and medicine-making for the undergraduate program. She completed a rigorous two-year primary care residency in Portland, OR, and specializes in areas of mental health, gut concerns, endocrine imbalances, and adrenal health. Whether through one-on-one consultations, custom botanical blends, or community events, Dr. Dana’s goal is to empower others to connect with nature’s healing potential.  â€‹

When she’s not working with patients or crafting plant-based remedies, you’ll find her hiking, backpacking, or enjoying life with her trusty basset hound by her side. She is passionate about creating spaces for people to grow, heal, and thrive—whether through her clinical work or through Grounded Botanicals, her line of handcrafted herbal products.
